I find asking a simple question (whether it be potty training or puppy names) that not only do you not always get an answer but you get insulted by certain members. You get told your a BYB or running a puppy mill or killing dogs.
You have given no indication on how you got the dog or really anything about the dog itself but somehow they assume you got it from a puppy mill and bash you for it.
I believe breeding should be done to better the breed and I also don't condone buying any dog off the internet or from a friend of a friend of yours. I know that every time someone buys a puppy from anywhere but a shelter or a reputable breeder animals lose lives. I know to spay and neuter my pets. But people read a question it could be "How cute is my puppy? pic included" and some one on their high horse makes a huge statement assuming where they got or are getting the puppy from they assume the person will not get their animal spayed and it almost borders on harassment.
I understand the frustration as I see stupid people on this forum all the time asking questions about their dogs having puppies and it bothers me too but do they really think the best way to get the word out is to harass and insult people? I know they're giving a voice to animals who wouldn't otherwise have one but I feel saddened because I know most of the good albeit rude and arrogant advice will not be taken because of the manner in which it's given?
Does this bother anyone else? Does anyone else feel the message would better received if it was coming from a more caring, helpful place rather than hostile and arrogant place?
I know it can be frustrating for such strong advocates for responsible breeding but I think they can help more animals by being more informative and less demeaning?
