Do you feel Labour has brought an anti-aspiration culture?

...Or in your view, is it the publics / an individuals duty to create businesses if they cannot find work regardless of what people say? David Cameron has said he would help Britain trade its way out of recession if the Conservative Party won the general election. He rejected the argument that public spending could pull the economy out of the downturn, promising to cut faster and deeper than Labour in an attempt to balance the nation's books.

The dependency culture we have in the UK today was started by Harold Wilson in the late 60s . If you ask someone who's old enough they'll tell you that before that being unemployed was a think to be ashamed of , people would go out everyday and stay out so that no one knew they didn't have a job .
Now we have third and forth generations of families that have never worked and will never work . At best you could say it was just lack of foresight , giving people benefits was supposed to help people in times of need not give them an excuse to be lazy . It could be looked on in a different way though , keeping the working class on benefits allows employers to hold wages down to an unrealistic level , then you flood the country with third world immigrants who will work for peanuts and never strike and what you get is a strong economy with happy business men and happy politicians because they're make far more tax than the benefit bill cost . The problem of course is that this policy has destroyed society for the people and turned this country into the third world , immoral doss hole it is today .

How is CAM the CON gonna pay for all this investment in British manufacturing, public spending of course, this man is full of faeces. Wasn't it the Tories who destroyed British manufacturing in the 1st place. Destroyed our ship building, steel and coal industries.

Mark B. socialist policies work all over the world, Libraries, Socialised Healthcare, Police, highways et cetera.

It depends if you have a good job over 25 thou per year you are okay , but if you are on a low wage labour will not help you what so ever you will never be able to buy a house , but if you chose not to work as a lifestyle choice you can have kids and lead quite a comfortable life .

They always have and always will , Just look at their record they have never once succeeded as a government in their whole history, And this country has always had to pay the price when they have finally been kicked out. This time we will be paying for three or four generations for there utter incompetence and stupidity.

Yes, innovational ideas and small businesses are strangled before they get going by red tape, paperwork and more and more taxes.

Sure more people go to university, but the courses they do are mostly worthless and they still end up on the dole afterwards. Kids who leave school unable to read or write can still get on the 'soft' university courses labour has promoted.

Labour has never been good for the country, just as socialism has never worked anywhere else either.
