...the front? So, I'm buying new car speakers for my Nissan Pathfinder (1996), and I'm buying SONY XPLOD XS-GF1622X 6.5" 190 WATT 2-WAY SPEAKERS SET for the front--or maybe 220 watt 3 way speakers.

What's the difference/pros cons of 2way vs. 3 way when buying cheap speakers?

Also, so for the back I've heard it's retarded to replace them with the same model/make since you don't really hear your back speakers, so if you replace them, you should replace them with midbass/midrange speakers.

I'm looking at buying MA Audio Midrange 6.5" Speakers for the back.

Would it be a problem having 2 different brands in my car?
Also, how are sony and MA speakers?

Thanks!!

First of, boycott Sony, they aren't good. You can mix and match any speakers you want, just make sure that they are the same pair for front which means don't have a front left kenwood speaker and a front right Memphis speaker. As far as rear deck speakers go, my rear speakers do a TON of good for my system. I don't have subs right now, so I'm going for complete clarity in my car for the time being. If you get yourself a good and a nice set of speaker for the front and back, you will be doing very well.
