I had always planned on putting this sub in a sealed box because I thought it would hit harder and have crisp sound. I noticing that everyone in forums and at the audio shops seems to automatically assume it should be in a ported box. I see that Kicker gives box specs for a sealed box. Is the the sound difference between the two significant. If the sealed box is going to compromise the sound quality then I might have to re-plan my box build. If I can get crisp, hard hits that don't compromise the overall sound with a sealed box I want to stick with that. Any experiences?
Do Kicker L5 12" subs sound okay in a sealed box?
