i fish alot for lg mouth bass and i can only catch them at evening time. where do they go durring the day how can i catch them

ps i fish off my dock

try using different baits for daytime fishing, and don't forget in the day time they may very well go down deeper because the surface water is warmer and if i remember correctly they like cold water, so in the evening when the sruface water is cooler they tend to be closer to the surface.

During the day, most "smart" fish, (older wiser bass, big bluegills, crappie, catfish, carp, etc.) move to the deeper end, in and around lilly pads, floating docks, etc. but you will still see lots of small bluegills and dink Largemouth's in water 1-2' deep. These fish won't actively feed. To even catch bass during the day, PERIOD, is to use SLOW moving baits, such as Texas rigged worms, jigs, or a soft jerk-bait.

A good 7" plastic worm, Texas rigged with a 1/4 OZ bullet weight, pounded through matted Hydrilla will catch a lot of those lazy summer bass.

lg mouth bass should go under dock, lil pads.. well... you know what i''m talkin about right?

One day i saw this technique on tv, that it was to catch a red fish.

how it is done is, use a slipping float, with float stops, so as you do your twitch twitch reel in your line stop for sec technique, your float moves and makes noises that attratcts bass. and for the llure i suggest using some lubber minnow stuff.
