do 2 12" L5 kicker solo barics 4ohms sound better in a sealed or ported box?

i used to have these same subs in a sealed box but just wanted to know what the ported one sounds like

not looking really for "loudness" just want it to be felt in the front seat and from outside
 
Sealed enclosures tend to produce tight, accurate bass and have a flat frequency response curve. They are also generally the enclosure of choice when looking for a SQ (Sound Quality) oriented setup...spook

If by sound better you mean "are they louder" then you want a ported box but if you want to try an lose some sound for a bit better quality than sealed is better. But the L5s are made to bang so you only buy those if you want loud bangs so ported is probably the way for you to go
