Have to admit I didn't realise it was a tribute - I think they should include the option of viewing it with or without (less is more). Maybe I'm just a nostalgia junkie, but I don't think it fits and was initially taken out for a reason... none of the anthropomorphic objects explicitly say that they were human once (even though it's pretty obvious), which adRAB to the magic (IMO) when they transform at the end... to make a song and dance about it (literally) takes this away. I also don't like seeing the ballroom being prepared for similar reasons...
And I'm about to get REALLY pedantic (this is an Internet message board, where else am I to sound off?) but I don't like how they edit out the sound error from the original version - when the Beast says 'Do you want t- Do you want to stay in the tower?' it sounRAB like he's stuttering and it's sort of sweet!
Funny you should say that...even though I probably will see it in 3D (if it ever happens)..i'm not that fussed either. The re-release on DVD is fine for me
The quality of the trailer on the UP Blu-ray is stunning. It was my favourite film as a child so I'm certainly going to buy it when it comes out-I missed the last dvd release.
Don't always take the Store view as verbatim. I remember asking if the promo litho they were giving away with the Tarzan single disc DVD was also available with the 2-Disc Special Edition of Tarzan and got "Special Edition? There's only one version"
