Yeah, I love that scene as you can tell by my signature. But I also love when Johnny is teaching Baby to dance, the scene where they're crawling around on the floor, the log scene, the love scene, the final dance, and when Johnny is leaving and he says, "I'll never be sorry." and Baby replies, "Neither will I."

Here's a deleted scene from YouTube... It's pretty good. I like it.

YouTube - Dirty Dancing Deleted Scene

EDIT: Did you know that Patrick and Jennifer (Johnny and Baby) didn't get along? I was surprised to find that out because their chemistry was amazing!

I was reading Patricks autobigraophy recently. And it's nice to know the stories of how they hated each other were greatly exagerated.

Yeah, Patrick and Jennifer must be really good actors because you wouldn't guess they didn't get along very well. I think, in the end, they learned to get along. :)

What if Baby never went to collage? What if she went with Johnny instead? I can see what you said happening, though.

Yeah, who would not have a crush on Johnny? I am so like Baby in the whole 'I carried a watermelon' scene. If a hot guy (like Johnny :sigh: ) were to come up to me, I would say something like that. Haha. I wouldn't know what to say.

I agree with you about when Johnny fell for Baby. It's beautiful what you said. That log dancing scene is one of my favorite scenes...

When they did the love scene, do you think Baby went to Johnny's expecting to do anything? Or was she just going to apologize, then when she got there...

Really? They didn't? I'm really shocked with that revelation. They must be real good actors then.

This movie is just awesome! :thud: Like others have said, Patrick (RIP!) and Jennifer on screen chemistry is beautiful. :sigh:

Look at Jennifer Grey now! She looks totally different, but still beautiful.
She just recently hit the big 5-0 in March.

This was my first ever favorite movie! Other than Snow White and the Seven Dwarves....when I was 5...lol

Umm my favorite scene would probably be where Baby tells Johnny how she feels about him. In that moment Johnny has to make a choice and he decides to follow his heart. I mean really I love all of the movie but that first night was my fav :)

I always wondered if Johnny decided to follow baby. Maybe he taught at the college she went to? It could have happened. I also think that maybe Johnny had more of a role as head dancer at Kellerman's because Kellerman's was probably on the verge of going out of business but once Kellerman saw how everyone repsonded to the final dance he might have asked Johnny to come back with even more money? It could have happened or maybe Johnny got recruited to go to war? That is a real great possible and if so I could have seen Johnny and Baby decide to get married before he left.

Personally Baby had that whole teenage crush on Johnny the first time she saw him dancing with Penny. I mean who wouldn't? He was Hot Stuff  Every woman wanted him and Baby was sure she would be the one to get him. She really went out of her way to find him and such.

Hmm when did Johnny first find an attraction to Baby? Well when he started to teach her how to dance at that little party they had after hours he was just teasing her because he knew he could. He was crazy after all but I think when they were alone and he was teaching her how to dance it seems like they shared alot during that time. Remember when they were on the log practicing and for that little bit he sat down and started to tell her some of his past? I don't really think he talked to alot of people about those little things because he didn't want anyone to see anything other than the tough Johnny. Penny knew that side but no one else. But actually now that I think about it remember when Baby finds out that Penny is pregant and that little situation goes on and the next day Baby finds them and gives Penny the money? Thats the moment. He was shocked and instead of being like thanks he was nasty because he was scared. He knew falling for her was dangerous because of prior issues and he was warned that if he screwed up that year he was fired. There was alot going on for Johnny not to be with Baby but he couldn't resist. I could never see them apart really.

My then boyfriend (Now husband) took me to see this for one of our dates early on in our relationship (It was when they re-released it for the 20th anniversary)---he claimed to hate the film but I know he actually enjoyed it.

It was so awesome watching the movie with all the major fans--singing and clapping to certain lines from the film.

Another great boyfriend/husband moment. He was watching The Family Guy Star Wars movie and the old man sings The Time of My Life....he totally sent it to me on my phone when we were apart....just to say he was thinking of me. It was really sweet.

RIP Patrick :(

I was talking to someone else about this, and she said that they might have drifted off a little bit when Baby went to collage, but she also thought Johnny and Baby would have made it. (And even if they did not make it, both Johnny and Baby would have been changed forever after that summer. I think it's impossible to go through something like that and not be changed somehow.) They did fit well together. When they were dancing, Johnny and Baby had amazing chemistry. :thud: When do you think Baby started to like Johnny? When do you think he started to like her? In the love scene, do you think Baby went into Johnny's room expecting to do anything, or do you think she just went to apologize, then once she got there....? (Again, anyone can answer these questions.)

What is/are your favorite scene(s) from Dirty Dancing? I asked this on another thread, but is Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights any good?

 Hi, Rockstar!

I think you're spot on with everything!

I think Johnny was Baby's first (true) love... You can tell thst she does not have much experience with guys when she says, "I carried a watermelon". But if I was Baby, and a guy that hot and cute were to come up to me, I'd say the same thing! I'm as nieve as Baby was in the begining of the film. Then she met (and fell in love with) Johnny ( :sigh: ) and everything changed...

What's your favorite scene?

I have to say this movie is a cult for me! I've watched it thousands times! I simply love it!

This movie defined my childhood in a lot ways. It wasn't a kid's movie, but a movie with such a big heart in the middle will appeal to just about anyone.

Anyway, loved reading your posts on this, guys. RIP Patrick.
