just more power for you! if the cop "loses" footage or some bullshit like that.

your lawyer should be able to ream them

and then you has MONEY

This is true. I hope I never end up in this situation because it sure would suck. I just stay on the good side of the law, hopefully it keeps working.

I wonder if this is what my brother's lawyer argued to when he was charged with assaulting a police officer. Brother rear ended a cop car (not hard enough to damage it) while the cop wasn't in it, cop flips out, pulls my brother out of his truck, brother lays him out and gets arrested. No charges were ever filed or damages for repair were sent to the insurance company. Just spent the better part of a day in a holding cell.

The family did ask my brother to go to anger management classes after that though.....

That law has probably been around for 150 years and hasn't been used in 149.

A good friend of mine with a CCW said that in his class, the instructor said "I'm required by law to say this, and it's best if you immediately forget it afterwards." about exactly that part of the law.

yeah that's what I said. From what I was told the cop basically flipped out over what amounted to a parking lot bump. That's what makes me wonder if it's that law which kept my brother out of jail.

Brother was an asshole at the time so I didn't particularly care if he went to jail or got shot or whatever.

A couple of my buddies were asked to resign because of excessive force. A drunk got voilent and they used their pepper spray. Because both officers sprayed, they used excessive force.
