Did the Greeks or the Romans have a greater influence on Western culture?

well i dunno for a fact, but i'd say probably Romans coz not only did they invent new stuff, architecture n literature & all those other -atures, they refined what they learnt [ok, what they basically stole] from the Greeks. Romans came off as more... acquisitive, to me, they thought they knew what was best for the world and damnit they'd crusade if they had to.... sorry no specifics :( add: you can borrow em from the girl above me though....
 
Both were very influential. If we chose just one, however, which do you believe would have the most rule over the modern West, and why? Detailed answers would be really frickin amazing, too. xP
