So, you supported the invasion of Iraq. You now support withdrawal.

You oppose Exporting Democracy, and I assume Nation Building.

You oppose much of the Welfare State.

Interesting.

You're still pretty much a Buckleyite-Reagan conservative, influenced by neoconservative philosophy, regardless if you recognize it or not.

So then, you oppose the War in Iraq?

And you think it best to abolish Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Minimum Wage, Unemployment, Public Education - the entire Welfare State?

"I am a Bourbonist out of honour, a monarchist out of reason, and a republican out of taste and temperament"

No I think the situation has changed drastically enough that it is time for the vast majority of our troops to leave.

If by withdrawal you are implying retreat, you do not understand how much the situation in Iraq has changed in the last 4 years.

You're still a wack job

Obama isn't pulling out, he's staying there. That's why I thought it was funny that you said you agree with what he's doing.

Washing machines, microwave ovens, cable tv...no problem. Moving away from founding principles like racism...whoa Nelly. Is this about right?

Control should be at the state level, so we can have 12 different flavors of Texas creationism crazy being taught among different states...and to solve the problem of ineffective federal spending, you would make those spending the federal dollars even more blind.

Great job!

That's actually a separate issue. By his stance, he's advocating for some kind of continued federal subsidy, yet he wants those distributing it to have less information than they have now.

That is the equivalent of looking at the situation and while stating you (DE) are against the way the federal government does it, for whatever reason, you think them having no function but to assign x dollar amount per person is an improvement.

Look at it further. Doing this address none of the concerns that most people have regarding this issue. You brought up the idea of amendment-his suggestion goes against that. It suggests a blind federal agency handing out taxpayer dollars, but with no control other than population. Most likely, some hokey bill by congress would set the amount, and it would become the future favorite of democrats and republicans alike. A proxy war that would do nothing to become part of the constitution.

It also doesn't address any of the concerns of those who would like to see the education system revamped. Finally, it ignores those would like to see the Department of Education go away entirely.

His is simply a stupid suggestion: that we just hand out money based on census data.

His suggestion is completely different than yours. It is 'lets just dumb it down'.
