Basically Australians are lazy, left wing, crass alcoholics with impenetrable accents who abbreviate every word they speak, including surnames, with no propensity to be civilized and "high brow". even those in higher income brackets behave and dress as middle class laborers. However they are remarkably accepting of others, love the concept of a "fair go" and live their lives by the mantra "she'll be right mate", this allows them a very rich social culture based around alcoholism.
By contrast, say the French, are also alcoholics, but much more cultured and upper class socially, more likely to engage in "high brow" activities like live theater and opera, which are lacking in Australia. Much more pleasant to converse with and be around, but typically arrogant and less willing to accept social outsiders.
