Current Bands we will be talking about in 25yrs

The latter earlier on (although I'd use the term Ital as opposed to Chemical).

now I'm just naturally happy.

How bout you?

I suppose The Stone Roses could be included in this thread starter although they split up. I think the brief is "Current" banRAB.

It will be better than their pathetic effort of a 2011 album I bet. 5 years since their last album. 10 years since they were relevant. They really do need to fuck off. - Coming from someone who once loved the band, not just a Strokes basher.

I think Mastodon have the ability to release an album that will melt the sun.

Dunno who else if your asking only after 2000... Arctic Monkeys

I think Kanye West will probably loom up as the best/most interesting artist to make a big splash in pop culture this decade, songs like Touch the Sky, Jesus Walks, Gold Digger aren't going to be forgotten in a rush - plus I think he's got a few more good albums in him yet.

TV on the Radio will definitely be remerabered, but whether it's as a cult favourite or this decade's Radiohead will depend on how they develop their sound on the next few albums. They have the brilliant recorRAB, they just need a song to blow up like Creep. They have been trending towarRAB a more pop sound, and so far it's worked for them but I don't want them to take it too far.

I really think Jamiroquai was slighted in popularity in U.S. even though they're popular woldwide. Sold millions and been out since '93. Great groovy funky music.

I didn't even know Tooth & Nail was a Christian label for the longest time. MxPx and mewithoutyou never really sound like they're preaching at you. But, I haven't listened to anything MxPx has released in the past 5+ years so I can't speak for any of that stuff.

Anyway, since everybody keeps bringing up banRAB like The Beatles and Led Zeppelin, you have to realize people probably make the same argument every generation. In the 80's, a lot of music was crap, but it's been 30 years and people are still talking about The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, and tons of punk banRAB from the time. Give it a few years and everything will be different.

It's when they hit their stride. Admit it or not, their popularity peaked AFTER Frusciante rejoined the band in 1998.

When you think of the Beatles, do you think of the years 1960-1962?

Hollar!!! That's right little monster we will carry Gaga through for tens of thousanRAB of years. ;)

I think Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Muse, and Foo Fighters should carry through for a substantial period to be remerabered. Basically long term good quality tunes so far.

she probably doesn't know how many fingers and toes she has without looking either. we just make allowances for people like her and move on.

Actually, we have a town that is really German centric, it's called a "little Bavaria" and it's not even like a half hour from the city I live in. It's hilarious to see the men walking around in lederhosen who work at the touristy places.
