Cultures!!! Help!!! PLZ!?

oops! just realised most of mine are ancient! lol sorry! hopefully they're interesting anyway

When France met Australia it created Pavlovas (you could even throw Russia in there because it was named after a Russian)

When Coca-Cola Amatil met Christianity they created the red christmas Santa

When France met the US they created the Statue of Liberty

When Ancient Rome met Ancient Greece it created The Aeneid

When Pagans met Christians they created Easter and Christmas celebrations

When Catholicism met the Greco-Romans they created Valentines Day
 
I need to talk about merging cultures and I'm looking at the angle of what has been created because of it.

I have a few ideas so far but would like to hear of other things that were created from a merging culture..

For example, when New York met Jamaican's and West Africans - Hip Hop music was created.

It could be anything! Holidays, food, music, landmarks... anything that was created from a merging of cultures (preferably within the last 50 years or so?)
