...panthers, la raza, KKK)? I think grouping people in to socially constructed tribes (black, white, latino) is becoming dangerous and underining national security. I consider myself an American who happens to be of African-American decent. I dont know why I should be be grouped with an American of say Nigerian descent simply becasuse im the same color. Then told I should hate whites because Im part of some "color" tribe.
I just think the whole philosophy should be looked down on.. Black, white "latino" is all mixed together.

Alot of blacks have white in them and vise versa. "latino" have been mixing with "celtic" or "Anglo" for decades. Why do we act like we are separate tribes when were not?
 
We can't. If we want freedom of speech and freedom of expression, then we will have to put up with groups like this.

I do look down on them, but to ban them would mean banning a lot of good organizations as well. I guess the answer is that the enlightened majority will just have to rise above a misguided minority who preach hate.
 
I'm hispanic but I think that la raza thing is a bunch of BS. they should try to become american since they live here, and stop promoting all that racial crap.
The black panthers is a different thing, they were born out of the civil rights, and they had a purpose for being back then, maybe they still do, I'm not getting into that one because I'm not black, I guess I could say "it's a black thing, I wouldn't understand". And the kkk thing, you can't compare that with the black panthers or la raza. they don't belong in the same category, that's an "organization" (if you can call it that) with the sole purpose of hate, they are almost extinct btw.
 
yes tou are so right!! these groups to me act as racist.. we are all americans!! no matter what your skin looks like.. I think any group that requires you to be a certain race to join including colleges and other things promotes racism..

to your edit.. yes we are all so mixed up any ways.. I am Italian on my dad's side.. mom's scotish french american indian.. and my kids father hispanic.. I do think there are some goups that need people to fight for them but it should be one place that helps all americans.. not based on their race but based on the problems they face.. all people face some sort of racism in this world.. son have one place to help all americans
 
Well, The kkk and black panthers , etc started as ok groups (like kkk wanted to keep Northern Influ. out) But now 'a days...yes i agree with you. i am mostly white(irish and german mainly) and i disagree to hate other colors just because. But its not just as simple as people letting these groups stay around or promoting. Its the fact, no matter how hard goverment or honest people try to ban groups that promote it or try to be like them.. - there will always be one dumbA who thinks "white/black/lainto power" is cool and the way we should be. sadly...Even if we did ban them. someone will say something about This group and that group... Then pretty soon almost every group is banned because someone finds alittle racist in the group or wants to be a dick and say its racist(kinda like the confederate battle flag...1,000's of blacks fought for it....100,000's of solders died for it...but yet you still see it being burnt because its a "racist symbol" ...Then we could have to ban Most chuchs because The kkk use the cross as a symbol. Then we would have to ban The american flag...because the black panthers/kkk have also used those as symbols for their group, there for promoting it. sadly...we just can't do anything .

SINCE WHEN did Blacks having White blood make us one in the same? Most of that blood is a product of sexual exploitation of Black females by White men...what, are we supposed to be brothers because massa raped our great great grandmas?
