Cruise Control Quit Working

Last week I noticed my cruise was not staying on, it was very touchy and would come off when I hit a bump. Today it wouldn't work at all, the light stayed red and would not take a set. This is a factory installed cruise on an 06 EG Standard. I recently had both tires replaced and some minor suspension work done - would that effect anything?

If I had a dollar for every time I've been behind another hog rider with their brake light burning bright red and the rider never knew it .......................

Check your Roll On switch on the throttle cable (right side frame by the neck). Disconnect the connectors and try it. It's a pretty common failure. With the switch disconnected, cruise will function normally, and any brake application or clutch pull will cancel correctly. *Throttle inputs will NOT disengage the cruise with the Roll On switch disabled, so be careful...

E.L. just got my bike back from dealer ck engine light stayed on and no cruise pi$$ed me off on the end of a 300 mile ride the problem was the fly by wire in the grip after they replaced it seems to be more responsive than it was hope that don't happen again love that cruise good luck with problem

Roll Off switch on the neck of the frame. Pull the contact wire from there. Just remember that you can't disengage the cruise by rolling bak the throttle any more. This is the solution 80% of the time on these.....
