Cruel Intentions, what do people think of this film,

personally it is my fav film of all time. :D it's one of the only films i can watch over and over agian and not get bored. I'm watching it right now, thats the third time this week/ :D

Not the best movie of all time (either Closer or Grosse Point Blank) but certainly way better than the Dangerous Liaison rip-off that its meant to be. Very well acted and Selma Blair is superb in it. Seen it about 20 times and love the dialogue :D

"He used to sneak into my dorm room drunk every night. We'd go at it for a little while, and then, as soon as he'd come, he'd start freaking out. "What are you doing, man? I'm not a fag. If you tell anybody, I'm gonna kick your ass!" God. The only reason I let him keep up the charade is because the man's got a mouth like a HOOVER, Ooooof!" :D

Hahah, the best bit is

Cecile - You'd Do that for me
Kathryn - Of course silly, we're frienRAB right
Celile - Best FrienRAB (Kathryn smiles), Do You wanna have a sleep over?

The expression on Kathryn's face is increable.

Disagree, it was set in an exaggerated reality/style which makes it harder to date.
It certainly dates better than the original.

Why not start with the Shawshank Redemption which is currently number one. I don't like films that glorify crime btw so whilst I've seen all three Godfather movies I'll give a re-watching a miss :p

Love cruel intentions. Sarah Michelle Gellar is outstanding and deserve a golden globe nom tbh.
A complete shy away from the Buffy summers character whom she played at the time.

Deffo one of my all time fav movies

I watched this on TV last night for the first time in absolutely ages. I still enjoy it. Best film of all time? No. Bt still very watchable and deliciously sexy.

It also has an epic soundtrack. One of the best in my opinion.

I watched it twice a few years back, found it odd first time so I watched it again.

Then realised its just terribly boringggggggggggggg.

Not for me am afraid although I am a Sarah Michelle Gellar fan especially in Buffy and The Grudge.

I've only seen this once all the way through and it isn't a bad film but it's not a great film either. I don't actually think that the story makes a lot of sense in the modern world, updating it hasn't really worked for me. It makes sense for all of this intrigue to go on between aristocrats at the french court but not between high school students. Some of the performances arent bad, some of them are terrible! And I agree with the poster above, long chunks of this film are incredibly dull. Sarah Michelle Gellar doesn't work as a bad guy either, she seems to think that having dark hair is enough.

Best of all time? Never.

Good film though, I do like it :) I love Reese Witherspoon in it, and Sarah Michelle Gellar is brilliantly scheming and manipulative. Plus Ryan Philippe is gorgeous, which helps.

THANK YOU!

I've always thought this.

"She has dark hair so she's eeeeeevvvvil"

I enjoy the movie from time to time but SMG's smirk and put on voice doesn't work for me.

Plus I spotted a massive plot hole in it once and then forgot it.
