Cruel Intentions - Best film of all time.

I haven't watched this movie in a long time, I think it deserves a re-watch.

To be fair, it's a great re-imagining of the source material, which I found a little dull.

I never thought Kathryn was actually supposed to be evil, in fact I thought she was a very human character, with flaws, emotions and desires the same as everybody else.
I also thought that there was a lot of chemistry between the cast members.

...And hey, a lot better than Cruel Intentions 2, right?

There's a sequel?!

Kathryn and Sebastian are sociopaths in effect so I guess not evil but she is definitely trying to throw off the all-american girl thing by playing a nasty character who only cares about her own pleasure and doesn't care who gets hurt along the way.

I still prefer the versions set in the french court, it just doesn't make sense to me as a modern day tale.

I remember getting this on dvd when I bought my first DVD player (god, I feel old). Takes me back to my school days as i remember watching it at the cinema with my school pals. I think it's a fantastic teen flick.

3 is much better than 2. I have 1 and 3 and pretend 2 doesn't exist it works . I do like the film but I hated the ending. Never really liked Annette either to be honest.

Take out the references of them being in high school and it's just a bunch of snobby Manhattan socialites ripping each other to shreRAB. Plus, the only thing that made the film 'relevent' and 'young' was the soundtrack. Can you imagine how different that film would've been if the music in it wasn't so brilliantly chosen? The final scene where Kathryn is exposed wouldn't have been as memorable if it weren't for The Verve's 'Bitter Sweet Symphony'.

Ryan Phillippe's arse - I just had to mention it! ;) :D
