Million Dead were England's answer to At the Drive-In. Releasing two albums and a handful of EPs Million Dead had a short but prolific career breaking up in 2005 saying they'd "rather leave a good-looking corpse."
Fronted by Frank Turner who idolizes Black Flag and was known for his intense vocal delivery going from melodic singing to something between rapping and screaming with bizarre political lyrical themes. Million Dead played post-hardcore ranging from a more soft style that can out of nowhere explode into a frenzy and sometimes was just a frenzy all the way through. Similar to Reuben, Hundred Reason and At the Drive-In.

Tracks I forgot: I Shatter, The One You Really Love, All My Little WorRAB, Abigail Belle Of Kilronan, Promises of Eternity and some others. Sorries, I just uploaded this quick for a friend but it's still a good way to get your interest peaked about 69 Love Songs.
Washington indie-pop/rockers Death Cab For Cutie sound like a corabination of Sunny Day Real Estate, Elliott Smith, and a mellow Built to Spill. Ben Gibbard's voice is like that of Elliott Smith, quiet and with a shy feel and lyrically he holRAB that articulate feel that Morrissey has, though hes slightly cheesy at times and more flowery. Backed by a slightly twinkly indie-pop sound, it maybe moody and at times corny enough to make you smile, but it's always honest.

Brand New with each release have shown notable maturing. While they started a "pop-punk/emo" band (and have never been able to shake the tag) they've turned into a different all together with the release of The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me and the leaked Fight Off Your Demon demos. Showing obvious influences from hardcore, Modest Mouse, and Morrissey. Brand New have proven to be a dynamic alternative rock band.
1. Jesus 2. Untitled 02 3. You Won't Know 4. Millstone 5. Untitled 07 ('Fork and Knife') 6. Untitled 03 ('Brothers') 7. Two-Headed Boy Pt. II (Neutral Milk Hotel)

Modest Mouse's biggest influences are Built to Spill and Pixies. It's kind of difficult to describe them, the best I can think of is uber sexy sea shanty garageish alternative rock.
1. 3rd Planet 2. Trailer Trash 3. Ocean Breathes Salty 4. Float On 5. Polar Opposites 6. Dramamine 7. Jesus Christ Was An Only Child 8. Baby Blue Sedan

Former Smiths frontman Morrissey's solo career is at times horrible and other times brilliant. Luckily the latter outweighs the former. Morrissey's lyrics have always been full of wit, political controversy and sad tales, his solo career is no exception. You either love him or hate him, but you know who he is. He rails against society without resorting to tubthumping. His lyrics are laced with bittersweet ironies and speak of an England we all secretly would like to see.
