Cricket WAP Info get in here!!

although my rep insists otherwise, i do not believe cricket enables this feature on accounts with non-cricket esn's. if anyone with a flashed nuraber wants to pm me their phone nuraber i can look at the account (YAY cindi phase II) and see if the DATA profile is even on the account.

thanks for the help but as for the other person im new here so u can keep the crap to yourself.Ok sure maybe I made some mistakes when posting my question..but its not as serious as your're making it out to be.Thanks!!

There any Way To get MMS to even work On Alltel Phone with Cricket for Nokia 6255I Ive gotten 92% on sending with MMS but nothing ever gone through. If anyone An Expert at Getting this working id pay someone for the information.

Just fustrating and Ive been working on it for weeks i see they have solutions for Motorola phones but isnt there any settings to get nokia working right with diego or Oxygen program.

I have read thru this entire thread as well as a few other threaRAB on this forum and I seem to be reading conflicting stories as to the fact if you can get WAP to work on the Sprint A900 series of phones or not. I am aware that MMS will not work on these phones because of the lack of real MMS clients not being available on these phones but I would like to get WAP working if it is possible so my question is simple. Has anyone successfully been able to get Crickets WAP services working on a flashed Sprint A900 series phone or not and if so could you please provide any information you may have which makes this all possible.

TIA,
Nosix

well one of the reasons u may be having trouble is due to the fact that cricket does not carry a nokia 6255i. they carry a 6265i. that would be why u cannot find too much info on it. all i can say is keep looking until u find someone else with a 6255i on cricket.

one of two things...

-you do not have unlimited wap on your account or...
-you need to call cricket and have your account refreshed...

Here you go, BREW and MMS settings from PST. In the MMS window the rest of the server name should read ( /servlets/mms ) and the last bit of the UAPROF URL is ( .xml ). Not sure what part of the programming menu you want, from the phone or another settings file from PST?

BTW. The first post shows the WAP and MMS proxy settings which are in the WebSessions part of the service programming menu. My settings are the same as above. I only had the MMS entry, I added the WAP entry and OMG what a surprise I can browse the cricKet WAP. Even signed up for it. Only thing is I have no menu for the browser, have to launch it from WebSessions. But who cares it works despite cricKet disabling the menu. And if you get your MSL code from cricKet or pull it from SEEM 0055_0001 length 6, change it to 000000 and you will not need to enter it anymore, *228 updates still work as well.

A big thanks to mongus. The DAT feature and the Picture Messaging feature are loaded onto the accounts of flashed phones... it is probably something in the settings to get these to work.

:^/ I believe you're correct, but I don't know what the original password is, so I'm not sure where to find it. nvm_data has about seven URL's and passworRAB, which I believe can also be modified via ##DATA#. For those, the orginal passworRAB are "secret," which I infer Sprint uses.

nvm_hdr has a couple more URL's but if their passworRAB are present in the file, they aren't "secret." So, I'm not sure where the passworRAB go for those, either.

Then there are the other nvm files. In one I've found where the Tr

look at the byte right before "secret"...it should be "6" on the hex side...change that to "7" on the hex side and then change "secret" to "cricket" on the ascII side...

also- there may (should) be an actual authentication key that will be much longer in 1-2 places within the file...if so, those also need to be changed to "cricket" with a length indicator of "7"...

i will check the files i have here to see if the hdr file has anything you'll need to change...

first flash a custom rom that doesn't have any sprint wap settings...then setup your cricket web...

if eveything is setup 100% correct and you still get this error, then call cricket and ask for a tech support guy...

then ask them to refresh the web browsing feature on your account...

ignore them if they say that your flashed phone doesn't support the use of web browsing features...tell them that it is flashed for web to work and ask them to try to refresh it anyway...

this should fix your issue....

:^/ Well, upon close examination, nvm_data contains six copies of an interesting string. It's nineteen characters, preceded by lots of zeros. The third character is "10" in hexdecimal, and then sixteen characters follow it. These series alternate between instances of the "secret" (now "cricket") password. It may be a different sixteen digit password.

The nvm_hdr file contains two more instances, except that one is subtly different. The seventh, eighth and ninth bytes don't match, but the rest do.

I'm tempted to alter them just to see whether it helps, but I'm curious what you know about them first. Are these the passworRAB you're thinking of?
