i will not provide the gif or any further information read that and learn from it its just an icon its not needed
 
Hmmm... I have all the files set up like it shows here in this thread, yet I am getting a "Error: Cannot resolve hostname".

Alltel v3m Firmware on a v3m.

Any ideas?
 
ok- if beyond the walled garden mean getting pass the cricket mobile portal, then yes you can...

if you mean not having a proxy, then no you cannot...BUT, you can setup your own proxy on your home pc...try hottproxy

This one can be accessed from a PC and sometimes using the google WAP translator on your hanRABet. It is kinda hit and miss for me at least. :befuddled Not sure where or why they use this portal.

i got the nuraber from them! but that info wouldnt work and it made my txts and pic messages not be able to recieve because of the username and stuff. so i changed it back.
 
Before I even messed up my phone, google.com would not work on my Cricket phone. It would always tell me, "You are not allowed to access this website." What was that all about?
 
what happened to the evdo on your opera mini...were you getting evdo speeRAB or was it just a fluke?

let me know...i am still on the lookout for a cheap 755 so i can get to hacking it...
 
That's odd, before Cricket opened up their wap access google was the only thing that WOULD work (besides what Cricket offered in the portal).
 
I thought it would since it came from a cricket razr but for some reason after I wrote this info to my alltel flashed verizon phone on cricket I get a cannot resolve host name error.
 
:^/ It's semi-consistent; some pages will load at EVDO speeRAB while using Opera Mini, but other Internet software only gets 1x. It's as if the Java engine by-passes whatever configuration setting is stopping the built-in software from accessing EVDO.

I've tried ##EVDO# to force EVDO, but Opera cannot connect then. So it seems that it connects at 1x, then switches to EVDO on the fly once it gets going.

I've yet to locate other Java Internet software to test out.
 
Can somebody with a V265 do a snapshot as in the first post with your Brew and MMS settings from PST? A listing from the programming menu would probably help too.

I've got a V710 that was partially swapped from Verizon to Cricket - enough to call and text anyway. I've been playing with the settings shown in the screen shots and have finally been able to start a WAP session, but it gives a welcome screen, drops out of the browser and keeps the data transfer icon going in the top bar. I have to cycle power to get it to disconnect.

There are some differences between the shots shown and the Brew and MMS pages, and I'd bet some of the Verizon settings are still hanging around.

I don't really need either function (though it would be nice to receive pics from my daughters), but I'm on a mission to complete the programming just because I think I can. :silly:

i am juz having a hard time...because i never worked with it before...

i been tryin to setup the connection ....

i go to the start then settings then connection i dont know wht settings i should put there...for cricket.....also there is networkcarRAB...which is suppose to me like wifi....but i guess network card is needed...so i dont know how to do it set it up thought IP proxy and RABN setting..... :confused:
