Cricket to Launch Android Phone

Well he said he rooted it. But, he also can not get the phone to boot up properly.

Also. Im pretty sure he is only talking about the current state he is in. I've had no data issues with any app yet. Heck, pdanet even works great.

I'm sure they will tack on some kind of "smartphone" or "3g" data plan cost.
As for the Web being horrible on the Evoke... I don't think it was the web, There are a lot of people who have the "evoke" data plan on other phones and are having no problems. The Problem with the web on the evoke, was the evoke. That phone was just one big pile of crap.

The video said full retail would be $169-$219 before promotions. i'll bet we'll see it priced $99-$149 in test markets. $149-$199 in regular markets.

It would probably be pretty hard to aggregate all of those local taxes.

Cricket doesn't know if your flashed phone is Android or not. It's simply not worth it to track every MEID for every phone ever made. You'll go on whatever plan you'd like with a flashed device, but they won't guarantee anything will work.

Just in case anyone thought I was posting confidential information, I was not. All of this info has been posted to the web already.

Video 2

The video states that full retail will be between $169 and $219 before promotions! It also states a Q2 launch and that the device was being shown by Cricket at the event, so they will be a launch partner for the device. It actually looks pretty decent.

They said from the beginning that they're not official. Cricket has no Zio page. They did have contact with the people running it though. It's just Zio fans congregating.

Got to play with a couple evo 4g's and droid's and the zio is without a doubt slower to react to inputs but what can you expect when compared to those phones. i think our customers will be more than happy with it.

We just found out that there is a glitch in the system and that we can't do anything with the phone for at least a few hours. a typical cricket release.

Oh ment to add.

**if anyone neeRAB a Zagg invisible shield for the Zio (full body). I bought one, and obviously don't need it anymore. don't want to trash it, so would be happy to send it (free in the 49 state USA)) to anyone who neeRAB it. Just send me a PM. **

So first person

I think they will have an online rebate. But thats just a guess on my part. They may figure that the phone will be super popular and not offer one though.

And for a $300 dollar phone, I'd imagine the rebate to be around $50.(if one is offered)
So MSRP and in store price of $299 (online with rebate $249). Total guess on my part of course.

Don't forget if your pretty sure your gong to pick one up, you can register online now and they will send you a code for free overnight shipping when released.

**Note: while prices online are usualy a bit cheeper, if they are close. I'd urge you to support your local dealers first.**
