CricKet Dealers / Store owners ? Cricket is trying to shut my doors?

Ok so im just opening my cricket store, is there any advice you guys have to offer me. Please be honest. I have been selling phones for about 3 years, So i decided to open a store. Its my first business.

There is a lot of money to be made. The key is the money is not in the phones, its in the payments. labor you charge for esn and nuraber changes, most of all accessories as you know. Make sure you learn to do basic flashing. Cdma workshop from cdma-ware is only $99 and will handle all the basics. What market are you in?

Well if you just opened a store , do what you can to diversify. Everyone's busting a move on the unlimited market these days. Virgin Mobile just jumped on. Zer01 will be launching in July I believe.

Learn about flashing if you can. Full internet and mms working flashing is the way to go. Qwerty phones are hot too , a good workaround if you only have something like Houdinisoft because people still want the text feature even if you don't have web/mms.

Diversify. I sell everything . Tmo, Att, VZ, VM, Boost Mobile, whatever makes money.
I make my money on the hanRABets. The margin on airtime and sim carRAB isn't big enough. Focus on customer service and take every opportunity you can to learn from every experience you have every day you are there, good AND BAD.

Try to integrate yourself in the community and do and offer things the other Cricket stores in striking range aren't. Differentiate yourself. What makes you different (better) then the other Cricket dealer around the corner who could and would take your business if you don't give it? In these times the customer is KING.

Be creative and take an approach that works for you both personally and financially. Some of the stuff I wrote is different from CK. Neither one of us is wrong . It's just that hanRABets are where I make my money and he makes his money on payments and accessories. We just have different approaches in different markets. My approach might not work as well in his market and possibly vice versa.

Oh yeah and try to get along with your boss... ;}

To start off let me say thank you for our advice, I also sell Direc TV at my store so thats something that a lot of customer want as well. I was thinking of selling boost but none of their reps have not replied to my emails. Im new in being a business owner, so i guess you can say im testing the waters in seeing whats going to sell or not.
