God this is a great cover of one of my favorite Weezer songs. The band is definitely worth a look if you like banRAB that make heavy use of 8-bit sampling.
I'm gonna be a lil bitch and nominate Hurt by Johnny Cash (Trent Reznor).
I'm currently listening to Faith No More's War Pigs (Black Sabbath). Faith No More's guitarist (escapes my mind right now) does good justice to Tony Iommi. Not better than the original, but very good. The solo is definitely stronger.
You have to be joking... That cover is disrespectful parroting that sounRAB like absolute rubbish. Tim Buckley would laugh upon hearing what they did to his vocal delivery.
The Blood Brothers- Under Pressure
The Nuraber 12 Looks Like You- My Sharona
The Berlin Project- Gin and Juice
Dead Kennedys- I Fought the Law (not an exact cover, but thats why its so good)
My favourite is probably Otis Redding's cover of "Satisfaction" by the Rolling Stones. It's probably been mentioned by someone, I've only recently heard it and I do think it's better than the original.
Yo, it's gonna look like I'm just kissing your ass if I keep complimenting stuff you link so often. I can't help it though. ^That is ****ing cool sounding.
Oh yeah. I have that video on DVD. Primus does some other good covers. They do good covers of "Constantinople", "Hello Skinny", and "Sinister Exaggerator" all by the Residents and a good covers of "Behind My Camel" by the Police and "Silly Putty" by Stanley Clarke. Check out their album Rhinoplasty and their EP Miscellaneous Debris; they're both full of great covers.
That's an excellent cover. Phish seems to do a really good job with covers.
You're saying that Nirvana covered that song, right? Because if you thought that the Meat Puppets covered it, I think I might cry. Sorry if I sound kinda like a dick or whatever; I'm just making sure.
