Countdown - so much better these days!

If you had read what I put, you'd see that I said, ie "if you remember, for the first 15 years Carol was always very frumpy with her hair and clothes" which is true, when Carol was Rachel's age she looked about 35!

I know she wore tight leather trousers sometimes, but not for many years after first joining Countdown, as she often wore longish baggy jackets and nothing tight, low-necked or short skirts, until she had started to have work done to make herself look younger, hair extensions and suchlike!

She was indeed very frumpy for quite a few years and looked much older than she does now!!! Today on Loose Women she seemed to have had her cheeks freshly plumped up and she certainly didn't look like that for all the years I've watched Countdown until she started on her detox malarkey and other stuff!!!

If Rachel gets a clothes allowance, then I daresay Carol did too... and remember that Rachel is earning only a fraction of what Carol was being paid!

They record a weeks worth of episodes in one day, with the Monday episode being recorded at about 10.30am, Tuesdays at about 11.45am, then they stop for lunch and then recording doesn't resume until about 2.30pm for the Wednesday episode.

I don't think I've ever realised just quite blisteringly hot Rachel is. I mean I knew she was pretty - but god, what a body she's got. Not sure the dress she was wearing today was entirely appropriate for daytime television - but it certainly perked my afternoon up. She's smoking hot.

Actually Rachel can and does make the odd off-the-cuff remark about the letters - the other week STD came up, and she winced and said "I don't want to touch that" which I thought was quite witty :)

I've watched Countdown a fair bit in the last few weeks and I'm well impressed with Rachel on the numbers. From what I've seen she seems to be even better than Vorderman. Also, I gather it's already been mentioned a few times but her body is awesome :).

It was the highest score in a debut performance (although technically, it wasn't his debut as he's been on before).

I used to be able to go weeks without watching Countdown, but now with Jeff and Rachel, it's essential viewing for me now. They've really invigorated the show in my opinion.

While I do not agee with mal2pool that Countdown is boring and I do agree with you that if you dont like it dont watch it, I take exception to being called a "simpleton" just because i watch DOND.:mad:
I watch, and enjoy, both programmes and I would never insult anyone who watches programmes I dont like.
Each to his own without insults
