Two weeks ago he woke up with a fever and very fussy, (he's 2 1/2) he said the light hurt his eyes and they were bloodshot. He started getting a rash on his face and his tounge was really white. We took him to the Dr. and he said he had Fifth's Disease, Thrush, and Hand foot and Mouth Disease. Does that sound right? I told them when I entered all of his symptoms on the internet that Kawasaki's kept popping up. They had never heard of it! Now some of his fingers are peelling a little bit but my husband said it is because he has started chewing on them all of a sudden. His tounge is still white and he is mad all of the time. Please help... I really don't know where to turn... plus he has heart conditions anyway where he was premature. I'm starting to stress and it didn't help that the Dr. had never heard of it.

Go to your doctor and ask to see a specialist or aske for a second opinion.

some friendly advice....get a second opinion....but don't go to a doctor recommended by the first guy who didn't even know what kawasaki's disease is. they are all in bed together. find a new doctor. you can call up your health insurance provider to get a recommendation from them or look someone up online. i hope the little guy is okay!!
