So I was required to take speech & I have a friend who says she was told its still required but she doesnt want to take it because she has a speech impediment..Like her voice is real nasally sounding. i think its a resonance disorder like hypernasality,im not sure because she never told me..But she did have her tonsils & adnoids out at like 5 or 6 so that may have affected it..
But yeah she really doesnt want to take speech in college & all the speech classes in college require getting up & giving like 5-8 minute speeches. People have mocked her before & well in high school she hated giving speeches. Like she tends to lose her breath when talking, like she cant breathe properly, but she doesnt have asthma or nothing..
Do you think its possible she could avoid taking speech due to this & get a credit somehow or will they probably still force her to take it if she wants her degree?
