"Coraline" Talkback (Spoilers)

i saw yesterday it was pretty good but my friend got kinda mad cause he got stuck going to see mall cop (for the 2nd time) with the friday group oh well i would have been mad to if i signed up for it! and yes he wants to see coraline

YES! I saw it, guys! It was no doubt one of the best animated films that I've ever seen!

This movie will definatly prevent me from seeing Up.

Some notes about seeing it:

- Saw it in a pretty early time (at around 4:00 PM).

- Had to see it alone, but I didn't care.

- For an early screening, the theater was packed!

- It was in Spanish, obviously.

I have to admit, my only real complaint is that some character designs were pretty risque, but since it's supposed to be creepy, I really shouldn't complain.

I thought the scary aspect was kind of mild; when I saw the "most intense" parts all I could think about was how they could have been made much scarier with a stronger musical score and more peril for Coraline.

Coraline was not afraid to fight back or face her fears and she trumps Bella-something several times before defeating her for good. This I admired. In too much of horror the protagonist has no chance and spends the entire movie screaming in fear.

There's only one reason I wouldn't show this to a little kid....put some clothes on, fatty.

I don't know the situation elsewhere, but the 3-D effect was held over in two theaters in the area for another week "due to popular demand." Good thing, too.

I don't believe it. An Oregon production, produced, animated and created entirely in the city of Portland and.....somebody said "Ory-gone" in this movie.

Was it just on purpose, as a joke, because they know that pronunciation is wrong? Just....What the heck?? How does something like that happen???

According to my friend who works at a not to distant theater, they are going to show Coraline in 3D again next week because the Jonas Brothers movie did very poorly. Apparently only 3 people saw it the whole weekend. I really don't understand how or if he was B.S.ing but I am glad to see it still getting 3D showings.

I wish the theater I went to had it in 3D.

Ooh. If this is indeed true, it'll make Neil Gaiman a happy man. One of his fans was talking to him on Twitter earlier, and he basically said that he had hoped the Jonas Bros. film would fail so Coraline could get the screens back.

Say guys, what are the chances of Coraline merchandise appearing at Hot Topic?

It's just that I went to a few message boards and that sort of thing came up and thus, I asked that question.

It was going to have many more (all composed by They Might Be Giants), but they took the film in a different direction. Supposedly it was going to be a musical originally.

saw it today.

Was pretty good, even if the trailer gave away 3/4 of the movie.

Was really surprised by some of the language they got into this with PG as well. (especially since one of the real Dad's lines could easily be misheard) .

Good plot, could have used about 15-20 more minutes. The cat was the best charachter, and the end resolution seemed like it was made for a video game. (3 "bosses" each with an item you need in 3 unique areas).

Saw it this afternoon. First RealD movie I've seen. The effect was pretty cool, but some things were kind of flickery at times.

I really liked the movie overall though.

The scariest thing in this movie was the nearly naked fat woman in pasties jiggling around.
Seriously, I never heard more shock and horror than at that scene.
