Alright bear with me....I would like to be able to connect guitars or basses to my computer to record, and with better sound quality than just connecting to the auxiliary input. I have a USB MIDI interface, but it only has MIDI inputs and does not have 1/4" instrument cable inputs. The easy solution would be to find a 1/4" to MIDI cable or adapter, but as far as I know neither exists. I have a 1/4" to XLR microphone cable, so if there was a MIDI to XLR cable or adapter I could in theory use that....but I have been unsuccessful in finding anything like that either. The only solution I can think of is to just buy another interface that has 1/4" or 1/8" inputs, or to just buy a Lightsnake instrument 1/4" instrument to USB cable. Any help, suggestions, or better solutions would be greatly appreciated!
