So BP could be facing bigger fines that aren't covered by the $75 million damage cap. If they were to face the maximum penalty from this it comes out to the vicinity of 15 billion at this point.

with a .3% tax HIKE. Gas prices are going to fucking skyrocket and petrolium bassed products should now be considered a thing of the past.
 
They are? Hell, the city where I live has fluctuations as much as $0.15 per gallon depending on where you get it.
 
BP already said they will pay the full cost, and that 75 mil damage is only for lost of income, damage to boats, etc... not the physical clean up of the water and coast.
