Congress: Thanks for fucking up the US Economy.... again

I get hit VERY hard by taxes because of how much I make. It's fucking bullshit, just bullshit. I work hard only to lose a ton of money so that others who don't work (or barely work) can get benefits?

Fuck that. You have to agree that there are people, MANY people that only drag down this economy by abusing the system and living off of other tax payers.

Are the people that are living paycheck to paycheck only buying the necessities or are they wasteful spenders because they are half retarded and have NO idea how to manager their money?

...and you don't see those "patriotic tax payers" offering IRS donations for whatever they consider a "fair rate".

It sure looks like tax revenue increased under Bush, regardless of decreasing income tax.

Another aside to that would be average tax rate in the USA versus other developed countries. Canada runs a bit over 30% (low overall) whereas the US runs about 24%. It takes a balanced approach to a systematic problem.

You are truly a joke.

And of course I won't agree to it, as it doesn't make sense. Sure, tax everyone equally, what do I care? I'm certainly not in the "no taxes due" category. But if you flatten the tax curve you're essentially financing further tax cuts for the wealthier by taxing the low end.

The difference is that that money at the low end is spent in the "real" economy. Taxing it will only serve to decrease demand, and the money raised as a result will be far less than the economic benefits of that money being spent due to multiplier effects and whatnot. So the wealthy/stockholders/etc will lose out from demand, and the wealth gained from lower taxes probably wouldn't completely oRABet that loss.

God fucking damn, look at all those baller ass terms I slung.

What? No one gives a shit what the actual debt is. The long-term solvency is all that matters, coupling revenue increases with adjustments to entitlement programs and bring down the growth rate of healthcare costs is literally the only thing we need to be concerned with. Our actual debt is big, but not outlandishly big compared to our economy. And the majority of the deficit is only temporary.

and raising taxes at the proposed rates still wouldn't put us on the path to a surplus

so yes please use the tax increase argument to show your fucking ignorance
