Yes, let's make sure that people who live paycheck-to-paycheck buying the necessities of life, and hopefully some discretionary items, are paying taxes at the same rate as the wealthy. That should really do wonders for the economy.
I mean, we're at record discrepancies between the lower/middle class and the wealthy, what unintended consequences could possibly happen when the tax burden is shifted downward on the classes who statistically have a negative savings rate and struggle to budget for the basic living necessities?
