I've plenty of points, and write simply from the love of sharing knowledge. If you'd asked from that perspective, rather than offering points, I likely would have rambled on for 4 pages of good-essay stuff.

So, here's a consolation prize, being something to start with ....

'Cultural relativism' is a fundamental concept of cultural anthropology, especially in the Untied States. This idea began with Franz Boas, a Jewish-German physicist & explorer, then anthropologist. Stated simply, the practice of cultural relativism tries to avoid making judgments on one society, based on the values of another society. An anthropologist aspires to be able to view the world from the perspective of the cultural group s/he is studying.
