Community Thread / Tips and Questions

I'm trying to learn how to crit on these boarRAB. As a newcomer, I'm half afraid to touch song lyrics that are of a style that I don't like. I'm not into dark metal, and so many of the pieces here seem oriented in that direction.

On thing that I'm slightly disapointed in is the lack of humor. There are a lot of well done yet funny songs that would be against the rules of the boarRAB. Is there any chance that a single humorous lyrics thread could be opened?

*pokes head in* 'ello *waves* see this place is as much of a mess as ever... i'll proably be around for a few days befor disapreing off the face of the earth again... i did intended to go on a bit criting run now but i'm far to tired to leave and for some reasion i'm not in a very postive mood and don't want to go telling people there stuff is rubbish if its not and i'm just being a git or somthing... not that it proably would't be fun i'm sure, but still its not nice...

so how is every one?

Being in a band can sometimes be a bad experience. You either hate the people that you're playing with or hate the music that you're playing. That can suck because you like playing music and so you stick with it anyway. Like someone else said, become a one man band. :)

I owe you a crit. But its early morning after St Patricks day, so let's just say I'm not in the state of mind to be objective about it right now.

Same for Mitch.

It's OK, but I think I'll ask for ideasto improve the discussion and shi. Once joshmay talked about some songwriting clinics, but I'm not sure how to pull one off.

I'll try and come up with something nice.

There are people that always return crits, and they're good crits. But there are others that you give a real good crit to, and then they don't return to yours, usually they don't ven leave a comment.

There are people that are very good about returning crits, though. Props to you guys who do!

I crit many more than I post myself, but then again I don't post new material all that often.
