done. but i think you stopped free writing too soon. then it became a bit too post-modern-y. anyway, read the thread, rather than me posting the crit in here
 
Being called ER is weird. My name's David :)

I like the idea of leaving it as a poem. I don't think i could ever work it into a version that was singable(there is no way that that is a word :p ) without changing it.

Have you posted anything else in here recently? I haven't really been active in S&L since the last time you were on. Your thing was the first thing i've crit in the main forum in two weeks. You should feel priviledged :p
 
I don't know whether it's because I'm narrow minded musically (instruments-wise) or purely because I like a lot of pop, but my writing has done a wierd 3 stage change.

1. The boring angst.
2. Then comes the serious free-verse shizzle where I just wrote a lot of free-verse poems.

The problem is, that these poems don't trasnslate well into song, especially becuase while my music is quite proggy, my main project is based mainly on melodies and with big loud chorus's, and while the verses can be poetic, I'd actually prefer to write my song in a more accessible style.

So actually currently I'm moving onto a third stage where I'm attempting to be more accesable in my lyrics, the difficulty being that I don't want to become boring in my writing...
 
OK LAST TIME I PUT MY HANRAB IN THE FIRE FOR THIS SHIT FORUM, FROM NOW ON I WON'T GIVE MY OPINION ON MODERATING, THREARAB THAT NEED TO BE CLOSED, THINGS THAT SHOULD BE ADDED OR LIKEWISE, IMPROVING OUR COMMUNITY. Maybe people need to stop flaming each other when they get bad crits, and then stop retalliating when they get flamed(yes Im guilty of that, unfortunatley...the second bit I mean...)

But yeah. Methinks Im gonna throw up part four of my epic, and Im still working on part three.

My schedule blows. And I also got my act scores back. Frankly, I'm kinda mad. I woulda had a 30 if it wasnt for that darn'd 30 minutes, 5 page long lab type thing. Bastr'ed.
 
well my wife just recently passed away (rip) she was bringing in the bacon i was a stay at home dad :o

now I took the first job I could, moved into an apartment with the kiRAB and now I am thinking of finishing school which I should have done 5 years ago
