i have started about 4 months ago on writing and posting my songs taht i have written. to anybody who has read my stuff, i just want to know how i can improve my writing and if in need of an example just ask and i will repost my False Hero's song for anyone to crit and look at.

Hey folks I'm trying to choose modules for my 2nd year English lit degree and one of the options is 'Creating Poetry' where you study poetry forms pretty deeply and create your own portfolio. I'm really interested but I'm not sure if I'll come across as a bit of a pretentious twat if I'm like 'look at me I'm a wannabe poet'.

Am I overthinking it? Should I just go for it?
 
It'd take a lot of lurking. And really whiny bitchy people (amongst the ones I will be in) Praying for it, and going "OMFG i dezrevd rep lol u munstr!!1!"

The idea was supposed to be taken down by Burt because he has pretty much dissed all my other ideas for the forums, so I'd just feel like, I could make a suggestion, and I was going to be pretty happy because it's a really bad idea... But whatever. ... :D

Hey Surf, congratulations on that first. I'm starting my c.w course in September but I've been out of the writing scene for God knows how long. I think I last wrote something about 3 or 4 months ago. Did they expect anything from you when you started your course?

Going to Nepal on Saturday for 5 weeks, I'm sure some inspiration will arise from within the Buddhist temples, or find me trekking up Everest (not to the top obviously).
 
I have like microphones all over my house. But the way to go would be setting up a room with clothing in places where sound might get out (you know, mere physics principles) And using a regular computer one.

Black metal is a good genre to do that.
 
I think her point was that the current regular users in this part of the forum are not keen being modded by someone they don't see a lot, but Im sure I'm seen the same way in the LC, so there's nothing to really do about it, save post here more and just ignore the idiots :)
