What the hell is up with that ilikeyoubetterdead? How could anyone possibly think that they can make a thread which serves the exact same purpose as this forum (or section of the forums, whatever), and then try to make the forum rules not apply to it? Someone neeRAB to straighten that boy out.

I've only heard one song by Brand New. Soco Amaretto Lime...I'm not a big fan of it. I had to play it like a hundred times over because the singer and the guitarist for this quasi-band that I used to be in wanted to do it. It's like the same four power chorRAB over and over...which gets very boring on an acoustic (and it made my hand hurt after a while!).

And jamming with a piano and acoustic guitars is the ultimate jamming experience, in my opinion. I love the sound of pianos.

Ha, Sloth does something bad and we spend ages/pages talking about it, Burt steps down and its over within a few posts. Cool.

But anyway, I like Morrissey's lyrics and I really like the Smiths, but I really don't like Morrissey as a person. I didn't know anyone could be THAT pretentious. And grumpy.
 
I glanced over the rules when I came, learnt not to post twice a day and that stuff, and I've sort of read the guide. More of just looked at it, but that thing is really big, too much to take in and use for me. But still really really helpful when you are serious about improving a piece as much as possible.
 
Yeah, it wouldn't be if people actually cared about lyricism as a form of art and not another way to say "oh, I'm hurt, you broke my heart, I'm sorry, I'm crying, and my heart is bleeding inside".

Oh yeah, almost forgot, i meant to tell you that i'll be willing to lend any support/input to a short story thread if it's needed too. Brilliant idea in IMO :thumb:
 
I have the lyric/music problem. If I try and write decent lyrics, I just can't make them work with music. And then if I get decent music, I find it hard to get good lyrics to go with it. Meh :grumpy:

UCAS is possibly the stupidest thing in the world. Annoyed the hell out of me. Cardiff is a good uni, but I don't like the city. They offered me a place on a politics course there. I only lived twenty minutes away, and I wanted to get further away so I let it go. But I can reccommend Exeter, which is amazing. Not as good a uni as Cardiff, but the campus/town/course I'm on is much better.
