What's with this universal distaste for "swear" worRAB? What, exactly, makes these worRAB so "useless?" The only context that makes these worRAB futile is the context of these elitest pricks who claim disown to them. "Dude, it weakens the piece."

I completely disagree. "Swear worRAB" are only thus because of people who claim distaste for them. I, for one, enjoy profanity. "The F Word," to me, is a very, very poweful word. Not to mention the historical significance of why these worRAB are "bad" is completely lost in a contemporary setting, and the only reason people acknowledge the "bad"ness of these worRAB is because they're told to do so from external sources. (Parents, teachers, etc.)
^ THANK YOU. About time someone said it. I'm going to critique your piece now.

I'm curious. Being as I always don't get time to visit teh mx, I was wondering if anyone ever wanted to crit4crit via instant messenger or email. If you send a piece to me I'll either critique and send it back or just ask you questions and talk to you about it and such and vice versa with a piece maybe I write. If anyone is interested here's my contacts:

The only thing I find really odd about that is that the entries in that blog are MONTHS after they were posted on here, like half a year for some of them

I don't get that but w/e

Well Subtledagger was pretty much the only active moderator for these forums as far as I can tell, so there had better be a good replacement soon or else this place be dogged to the poophouse.

It's called Guyliner now. A few days ago, I went out on a limb and walked into our mall's Hot Topic, where I proceeded to ask if they had Welcome the Plague Year's cd or any Joshua Fit For Battle. The girl with dyed red hair wearing all black looked at me with the most confused look I've ever seen (I walked in wearing my preppiest attire, seeing as how I was interviewing for jobs), and then tried to sell me Taking Back Sunday. I gave her a blank stare followed by "No". Isn't that store supposed to be "all about the music"?

We should try and get the new people to participate in the community thread.

don't become an elitist prick :thumb:

and plus, it's nice to have someone around giving worthy critiques whether they're cruel or not, as long as it helps the person.
