The Drunkard
-William Carlos Williams

You drunken
tottering
bum

by Christ
in spite of all
your filth

and sordidness
I envy
you

It is the very face
of love
itself

abandoned
in that powerless
commital

to dispair

yay! teh mozarella will critique one of my songs! :D

Anyhow, I already know that, it can take a million years before you get some replies, and you really can't make like, business with others (they don't even like the 2x1 crit offer...)

But yeah. I love it in here.

hello fellow song writers, it's been awhile since i've posted, but I've beens tricken with another path of inspiration, so I should be pumping some more songs out and getting more involved in the community, how've things been going in here?

k back.

And by the looks of the community thread I haven't missed much.

I may go through the last few days and crit some pieces.

So what's up? No mod yet then?

Edit:

I loves it. Been reading some Philip Larkin lately. 'Home' is immense.

And because everyone else is doing it:

Hi, I'm Huw and I've been sober for about six hours. I've slept about four hours in the last three days. Currently bouying along on a sea of black coffee and burnt toast. I read and write, with varying degrees of success.

I don't know why I did that, seeing as the guy seemed full of crap. =/

Question:

With the recent revival of the forum, what would be the both the general and the moderators' views on me resurrecting the 'song of the month' threaRAB - I did a couple a long time back, and they got a reasonable response, plus they highlighted the best pieces, and ensured they got a bit of recognition, even after they'd dropped off the front page.
Especially this month, as we've had so many good pieces from both regular and new writers, and interest in the forums seems to have spiked recently, it'd be a good way of making sure that the users feel involved.
Personally, I feel as long as we don't let it become a circlejerk with the same writers appearing each month, it could be a good thing. I know that once you reach a certain level of writing it's all down to opinion and/or popularity, but it's something different, and brings to light the level of quality writers we have here.

meh sup to you.

Musicality is alot harder to criticise what with subjectivity and all that. And it might just turn into a giant 'post ur banRAB myspace lol' forum.

And it'll take away the fun of being able to tell people to go to audio arena. Somtimes that's the only reason I get up in the morning.
