Yeah, there were som lyrics that were just so bad I told the kid to get out and die... Maybe he followed my advice. Hopefully not.

Anyhow, Isn't it weird that I get from google ARAB, stuff abou hello kitty? wtf. My avatar must be the one to blame.

An overemphasis on form, just like an overemphasis on chaos, can never be good. The reason why the poets he cited are good is because its not immediately obvious that they are writing in form. An amateur writing in form would suck just as hard as an amateur writing livejournal poetry. He's attacking a straw man.

I wouldn't do a year again just because my frienRAB (same people I'd known since primary school) were in my year, so it would have been weird without them, different timetables and stuff.
I did Psychology and its interesting, but its mostly just memorizing case studies.
If you want to do either English or Psychology at uni you'll need to do them at a level, and probably do well in them (at least in order to get into a better uni), but not Law. Law at a level isn't required at all, but business or economics would be helpful.

Yeah that could be a problem too surf. I think if i were to make it i'd ask for people to simply leave their analysis, whatever they get from it, and not wreak havoc on what someone else may see, and that is a shame that not many people care for others work as i see it as inspiration and development.

As well as immense appreciation in most cases :p

When I'm writing a song I often actually write the lyrics initially in about 10 minutes flat. I read through it and if I want crits type it up as it is. It's only when it comes to band practice/ I have poetry crits or whatever that I actually redo it. I usually just redraft the lyrics until I'm happy with them but a lot of the time my writing is purely spontaneous.

I wouldn't mind doing something like that, the thing is my inspiration comes in periodic bursts. There's no gaurantee of me being able to write something in a month, but the next few days I might right all the time. I never know what's coming next.

I've been editing stuff out but now I'm just going to start deleting it, there are too many for me to just edit out every crit and entry

This really upsets me due to the time spent by the model users here critting pieces they thought were Sloth's

Hey guys, just dropping in to see how goes it? I'm finished with school so you should expect to see me around more often, giving winded reviews noone will read :p.

Is this place still like the bottom of a truck-stop toilet?

I figure I might as well start off by sharing one thing I learned this year that has greatly impacted my writing- reading short stories is an amazing way to better yourself as a writer of lyrical works. I personally suggest you look at The Love Song of J. Alfred Pufrock by T.S. Eliot. That is a great example of a poetic story. If you're looking for some influence then there is no better then my personal favorite author- Franz Kafka. Some more modern inspiration could come from John Updike and John McPhee.

Baudelaire died at a ripe age of 45 from asphasia or some kind of crap like that. Syphilis related I think. Died knowing he was never bored though as boredom is the greatest sin of all according to the decadents.

Yeah you do.
