APS - you prefer most of his earlier stuff then? I think a lot of F&M is good but some of it is downright appauling. His tastes seem to be a little more raw in the earlier work, but overall i think he's progressed a lot. Lifted and IWA, IM are probably my favourites.
 
Yeh I mean look at the last Australian idol winners. Thier lyrics are terrible not to mention the music, and are supposedly written by 'professionals'. And there is a new one coming this year. We'll just have to brace ourselves I suppose.

And Subtledagger: if there were like 8 nominations, why not have 2 polls instead and then have a final poll for the winners of the other polls? Shouldn't it be up to the S&L members to decide whose entry is the best. I'm not questioning your choices for the poll, I just thought that this whole thing was meant to be for everyone to choose which one they think is the best and not choose the ones that you thought were the best. I think it kind of detracts what the whole point of what the 'Song Of the Month' is.

Just a suggestion for next time maybe.
 
DepenRAB what you're critting; if its just rubbish stuff then you won't learn much, but the better the work you look over the better you can get. You can pick up ideas and see things you hadn't thought of. And mistakes you'd rather not make.

The helping thing was something I forgot, that can be nice as well.



Its succinct and to the point. metaphorically it is the stiletto of crits, whereas the long ones are like sledge hammers.

where do you get all your loops from? i recently got acid pro but it doesnt have that many loops and im still trying to work out how to use it.

I don't have a name, but lately somebody in D&P called me "the blue man dude" and I thinkk that was fun so feel free to call me that if Dream Theater quotes don't do it for you.
