Sarah McLachlan is amazing. I've just been playing the usual in my car though: Cursive, Bright Eyes, As I Lay Dying, Death Cab, Sparta, TMV, Atreyu, The Fall of Troy, Beloved; stuff like that. Haven't really found any new banRAB I like a lot though.
 
I voted in there because I'm tired of there being like five to seven entires with three people voting or something

Maybe if I get involved other users will too -_-
 
Yeah, I did a couple of 'song of the month' threaRAB a while back... the problem with that is that it's no fun trawling through a month's worth of crud to find a few diamonRAB... you get so sick of seeing the same song over and over it's unbelievable.

But an S&Ler of the month could work...
 
you're actually both kind of wrong.

free verse is a form of structure, nothing to do with free writing. it forgoes classical ideas of structured verse, for example a sonnet having 14 lines of strict iambic pentameter, in favour of a free wheeling approach to lines/verses/general form. it became popular during the early twentieth century, championed by t s eliot, the beat poets and adrienne rich.

free writing is often a means to an end; a method of renewing interest and ideas, though sometimes used for therapeutic purposes. it entails forgoing conscious thought, allowing the pen/your hand to write, without any thought as to what you are writing. the moment you break from this, and start correcting/applying structure or modifying it in any way, you are no longer free-writing.

That's my other thing to do this summer. Get hench. I'm naturally skinny but I've always kept myself fit so I'm going to work on broadening out more.
