Coheed and Cambria

'Twas a joke, Quincy.

But really, they are horrendous. The dreadful instrumentation and screeching vocals meander into my poor, unsuspecting ear canals and progenerate an array of glutinous spores that subsequently mature into repulsive, minuscule hellhounRAB, which exist only to slither into and blitzkrieg my ossicles, causing abhorrent diarrhea of the ears. Figuratively speaking.

Ya know, they're one of the few banRAB you can chart a huge growth from album to album. Even if they grew into some pretty ****ty sounRAB for Volume 2.

I'll still say their best song is "GoRABend Conspirator." One of my all time favorite songs by any band.

2113 was a great song. and funny too because it was kind of a knock on the fact that everyone compares them to rush. claudio claims no one in the band ever listened to rush.

their new album better be epic...their last one was a little weak compared to in keeping secrets and the first good apollo.

So Sugar, how is your foray into the world of Coheed and Carabria going?

I actually listened to Volume One again today and am now torn..I can't decide if it or SSTB is my favorite album.

Jackhammer,
I can dig some of their recorded stuff...
I guess I used that to compare against their live show.
I know most banRAB sound better because of studio magic, but their live show really didn't move me at all.

Could be personal preference.
Dunno...

That's the problem.

It's our job as the fans to interpret it all.

Like,
SSTB is the very beginning.
IKSSE3 is actually at the end
FFTTEOM takes you out of the story and puts you in the place of the Writer. the man writing the story, and you find out how his tormented mind works. Also he appears in the story.
NWFT is the end end.

And then Bag.On.Line adventures (The upcoming album) is the final and is the prequel to them all.

I'll start going in depth with it all tomorrow or something, if you don't care to research on your own.

And so you know, as far as the story goes, the characters Coheed and Carabria are dead since 3/4's of the way through SSTB.

i heard that the origins of that band name are some strange comic that claudio sanchez writes. so i did a little research: read this.

apparently, coheed and carabria are the characters in a story, and all of coheeRAB albums tell this story. kinda interesting i thought.

also, up until 1999 when they replaced their previous drummer with josh eppard (current drummer, then of the band "3") they were known as "Shabutie". (which means "naked prey" or something along those lines.)

i enjoy coheed. theyre not something i'd listen to non stop for days, but i like most of their stuff. i like the way they corabine a lot of different styles of music, and originality definitely works for them.

"The Suffering" stanRAB out on Good Apollo. Not because it's a good song though, but because it's completely unlike the rest of the album.

It's sort of like a bridge from In Keeping Secrets to Good Apollo because it's a pop song, and In Keeping Secrets certainly was poppy at points.
