I thought the article was revolting, dreadful, horrible (homophobic for a start, and why she finRAB light sabres obscene says more about her etc) - more awful then the writer finRAB Cliff but there was one line I really did like:
"And then came Heathcliff, his musical of Wuthering Heights, which was about as appropriate as having Bambi play Dennis Nilsen in a cartoon musical called Strangle!"
However, I find it odd that fans would coo at her "He's very family oriented" as she claims. Why would they do that, unless the journo had been priming them with aspersions about his sexual orientation? Leave it out, dear, he is of the era when that stuff was not out in the open, and actually against the law.
"Soon,
a little old woman comes up to edge of the stage with an envelope. Cliff saunters over and does a little dance for her. I decide Cliff loved his mother very much. Either that or he is in 24-hour therapy." Why the so and so shouldn't he love his mother/old people? They, old people, are his fans. Ageist as well? What a load of crock about 24 hour therapy.
Equally, I concede it is very unwise of him to sing a song about wanting to make love to us.
