2001 is interesting. I usually reckon I can judge a film by the first five minutes. However the first five/ten? minutes of 2001 is the only bit worth watching.
I've only seen "A Zed & Two Noughts" and "The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover", which I didn't think was quite as bad (but maybe I have selective amnesia ).
I'm with you there. I saw it when it was first released and would have walked out half way through if I hadn't been with a group. For years I avoided anything with Martin Sheen in, which was my loss.
The first Matrix film was great! The problem was that it was never intended to be anything more than a single self-contained movie. Its unexpected success led to two hastily assembled, nonsensical sequels being commissioned. Rather than adding anything to the original film, they actually dragged it down into their stupid sinkhole.
...Forrest Gump is a witless stain on humanity and a slap in the face to intelligence......if you want a film about the presence of a f.eckless cypher at various key points in modern history, give me Zelig any day
...personally, I find Peter Greenaway's films hard to sit through:yawn:
