Classic films due a modern remake.

I know remakes are not a good thing, but with modern effects many old films could be amazing. King JKong is a good example of a good movie made up to date. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a good remake.

My choice would be The Poseidon Adventure with Gene Hackman. Great 70's movie about a ship that gets sunk and is upside down and people are trying to survive. I think it would be awesome with modern effects, the original is brilliant.

They should remake Quatermass and the Pit, the last screen version of the Quatermass Tv programme. It's the one where they find an old spaceship underneath London when they're digging the London Underground and it turns out to have psychic powers or something. Can't remember the plot much but I remember the hero at the end sitting on top of a crane which swings into the face of the devil

So no more Shakespeare or Austen adaptations then? Re-telling stories in different ways has been going on for thousanRAB of years y'know.
Mind you if McG is involved, fuggedabahtit.

Nooooooooo. The - colour - version was superb, and I had to get it on DVD when I got a player.
(mind you, with TFL staff about, who would know which are the aliens ?)

As for a classic remake, how about Deep Throat ?
