Classic Chart Show Showing On The Vault 356

You may remember a while ago talk of an old Amiga magazine running a feature on the ITV Chart Show. I had a good old look around the house and unfortunately I no longer have the magazine. I must have put it in the recycle bin within the last year.

However, I did manage to find the issue on the net from this particular link...

http://amr.abime.net/issue_479

It shows the Chart Show on the front cover but they have yet to scan the article in so there is some hope out there after all!

no its not because you're getting older as i'm still in my teens and at the age that the record companies want the new top40 music to appeal too and even i'm liking the music on this every weeek more than the current new top40 tunes!

so its not because you are getting older lol!

The Vault does sometimes show vintage interviews from the past. Originally made for the Chart Show.
I've noticed that the Vault has in the past month bought back 'The Very Best of ...' hours, that used to be shown when Classic Chart Show was on.
IMO the Vault should show the repeats on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings during the 80s and 90s 'very best' programs.

Can anyone please help me--what was the date of the episode they showed at 8am this morning? The one with Tori Amos and Kylie on? Is it from 8 August 1992, or a bit earlier than that? I'm so glad they're showing these again!

I thought that too, but there's nothing like being careful. I'm guessing it might be the other way round- the Saturday showing being a repeat of the previous weeks- if it is, you'll be able to catch it then. At least if it's that way round it means I won't miss an episode when I go on holiday in May.

It wouldn't be the same if it was return on terrestrial tv. Its already bad enough with the new version, that was shown on chart show tv. I don't think terrestrial tv would make it better. I still prefer the old chart show programmes that was shown on channel 4 and ITV.

It seems now that the only way to see the old chart show programmes is on YouTube and other sites. Unfortunately the Vault seems to be showing only 3 episodes, that was shown last year, which they seem to repeat all the time.

PS: Yesterday was the 20th Anniversary of the first showing of the ITV Chart Show. I know I'm one day late, but hey I thought I remind people about that.

YES!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D 1 down 2 to go.

As a person who doesn't have the vault channel on my cable tv, it seems to be they've completely made a cock up of things lately.

Cray, keep up with the good work :). I've been keeping a library of all the chart show vids on my youtube profile. Those from the Top 10 and the Specialist Charts to the rare Reggae and Music Videos Charts.

It's a wonderful early Christmas present from them, anyway! :D

Anyone care to volunteer for telling us the transmission dates? :p

Sounds good. I also personally think that a weekday 10pm or 11pm repeat would be a good idea, as that's likely to catch people who work full time and/or shifts who might be at work during the Saturday & Thursday showings or have kids (as they're likely to be watching kids shows at those times). Just a thought.
