This is fantastic ......todays episode had some classics on there. I quite fancied the PCV top Richard Fairbrass had on for my night out tonight :o

As I only have a cheapo satellite receiver, I can't record anything. Does anyone know if you can get a FTA receiver with either built-in DVD recorder or HDD?

I wonder if emailing the vault and offering them money to buy a chart show episode will do the trick. I remembered reading somebody emailed the BBC offering to buy an episode of a old TV programme. Surprisingly the BBC replied back. Unfortunately for the person, the BBC asked for a stupid price of

An interesting point just came to mind... As we all know, any sponsor The Chart Show had was interpreted into the titles, and during repeats, are cut out or censored.

However, I've just realised that the Channel 4 show The Word also used this sponsorship tactic by having the Swatch sponsorship in the titles. An episode was repeated last year as part of the Channel 4 at 25 celebrations, and Swatch was left in the titles.

Explanation?

They showed the episode with that all time CLASSIC moment yesterday.... When they got to a certain song in the Top 10 and couldn't play it's video......you know what I'm talking about. :D

I only had the week's after Indie chart were it happened again on file prior to yesterday.

I think compared to CSC's budget, we could get them for a few quid! :p

Realistically though, am I right in saying we wouldn't be able to play them back? As far as I know, shows aren't played out via VHS or DVD. And surely, if The Vault can't be arsed converting episodes for their own service, I doubt they'd do it to sell. ;)

P.s. I took your advice on Want It Now, Razdan, and somebody's already offered four episodes :D The seller says he got them from a TV archive he works at... what a lucky sod!

What kind of job would lead to such accessibility to archives?
