Just looked at Zap2It's lineup and noticed the new lineup. Very interesting developments.

Class of the Titans, Being Ian, Spliced, Pippi Longstocking, Rescue Heroes, Willa's Wild Life, and Pearlie (an animated series based on Wendy Harmer's Pearlie the Park Fairy series of books) are being added to the qubo network lineup starting Saturday, September 19.

Class of the Titans and Being Ian airs on weekend afternoons at 4 PM E/P and encores at 10 PM ONLY on the qubo channel, a digital sub-channel of ION (the .2 channel, so check your local listings for ION in your area).

The new qubo block lineup on ION begins this week starting at 3 PM E/P 9/9/09. The same shows begin a week later on NBC and Telemundo, so check your local listings.

As far as I know, Quobo is a block that airs on NBC on the weekends. This is interesting news, I always wanted to check out Class of the Titans ever since the talk of it being an action based show that may make it state side.

Interesting. These are shows that deserve a wide audience, but will they get any sort of exposure on Qubo? Weekend afternoons are not the best slots.

There are a couple of issues I have here:

Number one, Cartoon Network seriously dropped the ball (again), but that's another story.

Number two is censorship. I think Class of the Titans should escape cuts but Being Ian is a bit edgy, so that show might be edited somewhat. I hope that the show doesn't get edited any further than TDI was.

Well, this is unexpected...

I read somewhere that ION and NBC have been trying to get carriage of Qubo on satellite TV, and it looks like they're serious about trying to build a real kids channel out of this. It also seems like they're trying to move away from being solely educational, as Being Ian is most definitely not E/I.

I'm looking forward to all their show! It should be great!

Would that mean that Qubo wouldn't broadcast as a Digital Channel anymore and only be available on Cable? I hope they move away from the E/I shows a little!

Ah, now we're getting somewhere with qubo. Didn't think that would actually happen, but I'm glad Class of the Tiatns and Being Ian are coming to the United States.

And since I have qubo (the subchannel too), I'll give the channel some points on actually picking up Class of the Titans and Being Ian.

And you know what? I actually thought that both of these shows were coming to the NBC block also. That would've overthrown Cookie Jar TV bigtime, not that it hasn't done that.

qubo isn't going to be a cable-only network. It's still a free, over-the-air digital subchannel of ION, who's the majority owner of the network/joint venture. They don't rely heavily on E/I programming in prime-time. I think Being Ian and Jacob Two-Two fall under the same category of kids shows, and they're both pretty fun.

Pippi longstocking...Why do I fell like ive seen that series somewhere before....Was it by chance on Toon Disney & or PBS at one time?

I know i saw the movie when i was a kid, but I could of sworn ive seen the series before 2....

Also this Class of Titans sounds rather intruiging...I may have to check it out.:D

That makes sense! Good thing I have it as a digital sub-channel!
"Jacob Two-two" is a show I always watch but I'm tired of seeing the same episodes in repeats over and over! Luckily, new episodes will air!

At least now we won't have to hear Jeff go on anymore about Titans needing to air on US TV anymore

I really hope nothing comes of the E/I requirements for cable. It killed (good) animation on network TV and would do the same on cable more than likely if it came to pass.

I would like to see qubo added to cable networks though. Getting it to come in on the antenna is a pain. The other Ion subchannels are useless (we really need another religious network like I need another hole in my head :D ), but qubo would be nice.
