Class of the Titans, Being Ian, and More Coming to Qubo 9/19

I have several "Class" episodes on DVD, having bought them when I last went to Canada a year ago. Amusing show, though since I just have basic cable (not digital) hooked up to my five-year-old analog TV set, I won't be able to see it on Qubo I suppose...

Well, now, that's not the case. You have a five-year old analog set, so you probably have A/V ports either in the front or the back of your set. You can connect a digital converter box to those ports to get WPXE 55 (Milwaukee's ION affiliate).

I know that----I'd just have to buy a digital converter first, plus a pair of rabbit-ears and, uh, unhook the set's only A/V ports (in the front of the set---being used by my DVD recorder) to plug said converter in, I assume. That, and force myself to actually tune into ION (a channel that was one of the first to get deleted from my TV's tuner memory, along with the religious, home shopping/infomercial and non-English channels... since ION [from its days as Pax/i] struck me as mostly those first two categories).

You could also connect your DVD recorder to the digital converter from its A/V ports as well. I know mine has front and back ports on it, and that's how I connected to my converter box.

Well, at least from 4 - 11 PM E/P (3 - 10 PM your time) Mondays through Tuesdays,, 3 - 11 PM E/P Wednesdays through Fridays, and weekends from 6 - 11 PM E/P, ION is a pretty good network. They're actually showing more modern films and shows these days. Saw The Matrix Reloaded just a couple of weeks ago on the channel, in 16:3 widescreen.

And qubo, 55.2, is a 24-hour children's network with no infomercials. ION Life, 55.3, is kind of like an odd mix of health, DIY, and lifestyle shows. The Worship Channel, 55.3, well . . . you can always bypass that one.

Isn't Qubo a little kids block? Well I guess now it is not. :D
But Ha Ha I can promise you that Qubo will never air Fred's Head... Sadly..
Wow I think I am the only person that knows about.

Certain shows target the preschool demographic, yes.

However, some shows like Jane and the Dragon and Jacob Two-Two both have decent amounts of older fans...

I hope by older fans you mean... like grade school.

Being Ian and Class of the Titans will definently be their first real attempts to get some 9-14 to notice the network. Interesting things may come out of that.

This thread has actually turned into a good explanation of how to receive digital broadcasts. FYI, technically the name is always lower-cased.

He's talking about himself.

I . . . I like Jacob Two-Two. Miss BG too as well as Sitting Ducks and Pecola. Being Ian is cut from the same cloth as Jacob Two-Two, a little rude, a little bawdy, and definitely fun.

ahhh...Now i remember, thanks. & hey! JETIX wasn't a Virus, it gave us Reurns of shows like Gargoyles Tarzan, The Tick Pinky & the Brain, Batma & Superman, Jackie chan adventures, & the 1st 3 seasons of Digimon...It was anything but a Virus!

But I guess it is one of the things responsible for TD becoming XD, still that would make it more of a Double Edged sword then a Virus..IMO that is.

But At least XD Gives me a lot of Marvel toons to watch! :anime:

Ah yes that show I always confuse with "Being Ian".

And really guys I'm a fan of many shows intended for viewers younger than myself. I did like Sitting Ducks though probably my favorite shows on Qubo at the moment are the Big Idea shows because I find them rather amusing.

Even so... never thought much of Jacob Two-Two. Just didn't seem that interesting to me. Maybe I'll check it out though.

Jane and the Dragon bored me to death though.
